In a world flooded with information, we often assume randomness. A stock market spike here, a political leak there, a social media trend that disappears overnight—our instinct is to dismiss them as coincidence. But coincidences, as it turns out, are rarely as innocent as they appear.
Over the past year, I’ve been tracing patterns hidden in plain sight. Not the ones that make headlines, but the subtle, repeating anomalies that slip under the radar. Some are numerical—a sequence of transactions that recur every seven years, each coinciding with regulatory changes no one predicted. Some are linguistic—phrases that appear across official statements, press releases, and private memos, too similar to be accidental. And some are digital—a network of seemingly unrelated websites, all pointing back to the same obscure domains.
What fascinates me most isn’t just that these patterns exist—it’s that they persist. There’s a deliberate logic to the chaos, a system beneath the surface, whispering truths most of us aren’t meant to see. And the deeper I dig, the more I realize these “glitches” are breadcrumbs, left for those willing to notice.
This is why I write for Ctrl Alt Delusion. Here, we don’t just report on the world; we interrogate it. We ask the questions that others overlook, challenge assumptions, and follow threads that might unravel the comfortable narratives we’ve been fed.
In this first post, consider this a starting point: a lens through which you can examine the patterns that surround you. Next time you see a coincidence, a recurring number, or a strangely timed event—pause. Look closer. There may be more there than you think.
The rabbit hole is wide, but the breadcrumbs are there. Are you ready to follow them?
